Formed in late 2023 from various other bands, and driven by a desire to create their own music,
The Rifts are an international alternative rock 5-piece, based in Enschede, the Netherlands.
Their influences include grunge, shoegaze, punk, indie and even a splash of metal.

Over the past two years, the band have created an ever-growing repertoire of high energy songs,
some of which are featured onto their first EP, eponymously titled “The Rifts” and now available on Spotify, iTunes and all major streaming services.

 

Their singer Maikel is a big fan of dancing like a fool, and given the age gap of two decades,
The Rifts are proof that people from different generations and nationalities can work together,
as long as there's distortion and feedback!
